Internship as Ontologist / Knowledge Manager

We are selecting Ontologists and Knowledge Managers for available intern positions on research projects and jobs for national customers.
This internship activity deals with the analysis of an information domain, typically starting from a corpus of documents, by reading and interpreting it to identify the main themes and topics and the relationships linking them.
This activity also involves the creation of a formal ontology (using the RDF/OWL language via Protégé and other editors), the development of a document taxonomy, and of queries for semantic databases.

The aim of this job is to improve the organization of the documents of a customer, simplify their retrieval, improve the work-flow of the editorial staff, and support complex analyses (e.g the search for tax evaders).

Required skills:

  • librarianship and/or experience as an archive manager;
  • knowledge of RDF/OWL and ontology editors (particularly Protégé);
  • foundations of mathematical logic;
  • knowledge of web standards.

This internship is full time and its duration is 6 months. Expenditures reimbursement and lunch vouchers included.

 

Internship as Data Analyst

Evodevo is looking for Data Analysts for available intern positions for the development of projects and the expansion of its market.
This resource will collaborate with our team in producing statistical analyses and data visualizations, and performing data mining, while developing dashboards. She/he will take part in the production of prototypes and proposals for customers.

The ideal candidate is a young Statistics graduate strongly motivated to start a career path in a stimulating, young and innovative working environment that encourages creativity and acknowledges success, and that operates on projects in both a national and a European contexts.
She/he has an analytical frame of mind and has good social skills. She/he is proactive and is able to manage his tasks respecting deadlines.

The main working tools are Tableau and R.

Required skills:

  • BSc/MSc in Statistics;
  • very good knowledge of English (certifications are a plus);
  • knowledge of relational databases and SQL;
  • knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • knowledge of R.

Preferred skills:

  • knowledge of Tableau or another visual analytics tool;
  • knowledge of Hadoop.
